Dear Skeptic Part 3

Hello,
So let's talk about your freedom of expression.  I find your statement offensive which is what you wanted.  Congratulations.  I have a statement for you that will be very offensive, but I don't intend for it to offend you..  Some people regard a conversation of this sort as an argument.  I am not writing this as part of a debate.  It is simply an old message that has gone around the world and has come to you either again or hopefully, for the very first time.  You seem to know of Jesus Christ, and you may know the message that we share with you.  You may think that your comments are funny, so here are a few words you may want to consider.
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him]; [Heb 2:3 KJV]

Personally, I have no opinion of the choices others make in their lives.  I do however have a responsibility to proclaim the Gospel message.  I also feel I should not be made to feel apologetic for reminding folks what God says.  To be honest, in light of who God is and what he can do.  It is really more like a public service announcement, i.e. I'm doing you a favor regardless of how you feel about it.

It really makes me think of a sinking ship.  I feel responsible to let passengers know they need to evacuate the sinking ship, but they angrily tell me not to tell them what to do.

So hate me for trying to do you a favor.

I think sometimes we take such things personally, or we become like pharisees and consider that we are somehow better that anyone else.  The truth is that we simply have an accurate perspective about eternal matters.

When we see ourselves properly, and we are hated for our message, I will try to remember what Jesus said, They will hate you because they hate me.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [Jhn 3:7 KJV]
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [Jhn 3:17 KJV]
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [Jhn 3:18 KJV]
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [Jhn 3:19 KJV]
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [Jhn 3:20 KJV]
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. [Jhn 3:36 KJV]

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? [Heb 10:29 KJV]
[It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. [Heb 10:31 KJV]

By now, if indeed you have read this far, you are either scoffing at these words of scripture or you are considering them thoughtfully.  For the skeptic, you may have hopes that the Christian faith will vanish in time.  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [Mat 16:18 KJV]

We are all given a choice.  Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? [They] all say unto him, Let him be crucified. [Mat 27:22 KJV]

Have you chosen to reject Him?  Is it because you have been blinded? In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. [2Co 4:4 KJV]

Before you make your decision final, you should consider the proof you can find of God's existence in your own conscience.  How do you know something is wrong?  How do you know it is wrong to lie, or steal, to cheat, or kill?
(For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. [Rom 2:13 KJV]
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: [Rom 2:14 KJV]
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) [Rom 2:15 KJV]

By this time, if you still consider the gospel of Christ foolish and insist on shaking your fist at God,
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
-Psalm 2

While I realize that reading this may not have had any positive effect on you, I do want to thank you for taking the time to read my reply to your statement.
